| The Oerlikon twin gun GDF 005 is the weapon for short range air defence against manned aircraft such as fighters, bombers and helicopters as well as against unmanned aerial targets, in particular drones, cruise missiles, guided missiles and guided bombs. Typically, the Oerlikon twin gun is controlled by a fire control unit (FCU), but it can also be operated by a gunner in the autonomous mode. |
