Mass Multi Ammunition Softkill System |
 |
MASS™, a fully computerized and trainable naval countermeasure system, protects ships in the event of attacks by modern, sensor-guided missiles at blue seas and in littoral areas. Programmable and omni-spectral, the system’s innovative ammunition assures protection in all relevant wavebands (UV, EO, laser, infrared and radar).
MASS™ can be installed on all vessel types, integrated into existing combat management systems or operated as a standalone system. Due to the 5 degrees of freedom – azimuth, elevation, distance, number, and sequence – MASS™ provides tactical, operational and logistical advantages. The requirement of deploying the right ammunition at the right time and in the right place can therefore be fulfilled MASS™ without the complicated use of different IR and RF grenades and rockets for short-, medium- and long-range deployment for confusion, distraction, or seduction.
The modular MASS™ configuration consists of:
- 1-6 trainable launchers - One control unit for each launcher - 32 omni-spectral ammunitions per launcher - Data interface (Ethernet/RS 422 or other standard) |
